Colourful Firefox Referrals from Google Adsense

The Referral system started with Google a while back. And then Google Introduced Firefox Referrals which didnt allow the feature to be used by internation users. But they finally allowed the system internationally. But the referral images were all in white color. A few days back some colour image options were introduced. Not so impressive but yes they might help some colorful blogs and sites.

But ultimately they have to make the referrals colour-free and the colour options to the users.

Finally I can spread firefox and earn $1 everytime someone installs it by clicking on the buttons of my websites.
Been waiting for it since google has launched adsense referral system.

Google AdSense Evolves with New Features

The uber-search engine Google has launched end of last week a new feature for the AdSense service that delivers relevant ads that are precisely targeted – on a page-by-page basis – to the content people find on your site. The new “Onsite Advertiser Sign-Up” feature allows AdSense publishers to persuade small advertisers to directly position ad campaigns on their sites.

This new service started being tested as of September and consists of adding an “Advertise on this site” link to the ads exhibited by AdSense publishers. When interested advertisers click the link, it leads to a Google-hosted page which the publisher can personalize. This page enables advertisers to sign up for a new AdWords account or insert a site-targeted ad campaign to their current account. This way, advertisers can add images and pictures to their otherwise text-only campaigns.

The main goal of this new feature is to allow sites closer contact with smaller advertisers while the production and billing processes are still taken care of by Google’s automated software.

Its new and attractive.
I have my webmaster friends already discussing about where to add banners on their sites.

I am sure this system is going to help webmasters/publishers make some income and also help google find more publishers for adsense. Very smart idea. Even though Google statrs things lately, they comeup smart and their huge user database can increase users from 1 to a million in just a weeks time.

warez ads in google adsense? adwords started taking these?

I was working on Indian-Radio.com, a new site to bring all online desi radio channels to one place.
I placed google adsense in the site and was little bit shocked to see a warez ad saying “free music and video downloads”. I am sure you never saw these before!

just wondering if google started taking these warez ads recently!

Yahoo earns via Google just like everybody?

Being a search gaint, its intresting to see that Yahoo also earns via Google adsense.
Flickr, which was acquired by yahoo in march this year, is now under Yahoo’s management and I wonder if Yahoo knows that flicks still gets some revenue from google adsense.

Things like this will let us know the power of adsense.
Even Google’s rivals use it to make some money?

Look at these images which will give you the complete picture of what I am talking about.

The first pic shows you flickr displaying google adsense and the second one shows you the same page with yahoo ads. Flickr actually displays both google ads and yahoo ads in random, so everytime you browse flickr you may not see google ads all the time. But, if you use flickr regularly, you might be seeing this.

Now do you agree with me if I say that even the big guns make money via google? still thinking about it?
I would like to hear your comment on this. Let me know.

How is eCPM Calculated for Google Adwords and Adsense

This is in continuation with my previous post about eCPM. It is calculated by total earnings divided by the number of page impressions and then multiplied by 1000.

If your earnings is $50 and you have 11270 impressions.
$50/11270 = 0.00443655……
again 0.00443655……x1000 = 4.43

In one line, its one of the cool firefox extentions for webmasters.

Created by Allen Holman, its one of the most popular and useful plugins among the blogging plugins for Firefox.

If you are using Firefox browser and have adsense ads running on your websites, whitout this plugin, I say you are missing a lot.
