Samsung LED TV? Slimmer than the Slimmest?

I thought I read it wrong or it was a spelling mistake for LCD in an online advertisement that I spotted on Mashable.com
But after I clicked the ad and reached Samsung Website page, it was evident that Samsung really meant LED TV. Well, I didn’t know there were LED TVs.
Thickness: 1.2″
These LED TVs range from $2300 – $3800 (40″ to 55″).
I wish I own one of these ultra slims but my current slim fit Samsung TV (29″) is doing really well.
Update: These TVs were recently launched. Also to be available in India soon.
You people at the samsung are doing a wonderful job, meeting all the expectations and winning all the challenges. BRAVO 2 all of you.

the new 7 series from samsung is quiet interesting do they offer 120 Mhz processing? Does anyone know about the color fidelity offered on these models?

@samsung lcd – Only 100Hz on the 7 series, but 200Hz is available on the 8 series LED TVs. Contrast ratios are 3,000,000:1 and 5,000,000:1 for each series, and they do look spectacular – from personal experience.

Samsunngs B series LED TVs are very good sets, but its good to see that their new C series 2010 will have a much bigger size range an cheaper prices, starting with 19″ 4 series models all the way upto 65″ 8 series!
It seems that all LCD tvs will be LED backlit soon!

My final review of this t.v is an absolute delight! For the people that can afford this t.v go for it! i have no doubts it will be one very good purchase and you will have many years of enjoyment until the new and more advanced t.vs come out to the public, but to tell you the truth this will blow your mind, with a PS3 or a blue ray player in 1080p resolution with a 5000000 to 1 resolution you can not beat this package enjoy the fruits of your labor with a new Samsung LCD. LED.

Very slim and pretty tv’s. Performance has come a long way since the launch of LED. Keep it going Samsung.
