I Don’t know where to start but before I write about our recent Delhi-Nainital Trip, I wanted to write about this because this is more heart felt than anything else.
Saturday night is a very busy night normally in Hyderabad or for that matter any city. People go to movies, pubs, parks, eatouts, exhibitions,… every sought of entertainment is tried on this particular evening to the maximum capacity and it was the same this saturday(25th Aug) too until 2 high explosive bombs took off. We normally hangout with friends on saturdays, especially in the evening. This Saturday We were busy in the afternoon looking for options for an elliptical machine for home use, We did buy one and got back to home. But in the evening we had planned for a movie along with friends at Prasads Multiplex. Because it was a late night movie, we went to Sampradaya(at Adthidhi inn) at Green Park Road to have our dinner and then head to the movie. One of our friends’ Venu called up and said there were two blasts in the city one at Gokul Chat(a very famous chat center) and another at Lumbini Park(this is exactly behind Prasadz Multiplux complex which we will be going in another 30 minutes or so). We thought it was a small intensity bomb which are normally used to give a warning. We finished our dinner and headed home. Switched on the TV and then realized both of the blasts were huge. Atleast, for us at Hyderabad these blasts were very big.
Seeing the first images, we were shocked, I had a feeling that “we were very close to this” and as I write this post today, the feeling is still there. Even if not at the exact spot, we would have been at Prasadz where there was panic because people were told there was a bomb in Prasadz too. Panic would be at its worst. We felt lucky.
The local news channels did a good coverage on the blasts. But these channels have no sense to screen bloody images and bodies without heads, body parts without body and the dead in a pool of blood. The scenes were horrific and these channels were thinking their rating would increase if they show these images? I felt like slapping these news reporters on the face. Still feel the same, especially about the ETV2 guys. And ofcourse the politicians for making everything political. People are dead! A mother is crying the hell out for her 2 dead kids who are in a pool of blood, a father holds his dead son on his lap and says “I thought he would fullfil his dream of becoming a doctor, I didn’t know he would die like this”. These images will tear your heart apart. And this is how a politician thinks while you are feeling a TON of sorrow; “OK, I think this is the right time to target the ruling party, forget the dead and injured and lets fuck the ruling party using media and create the impression to people that if it was they were in power, nothing like this would happen”. Where do these assholes come from? They should realize people are not dumb and fall for their slow motion speeches. All political parties are the same in this case.
Making things more worse are people near the spot after the incident. Throwing stones on public property like city busses and police vehicles, shouting slogans against the ruling party. Again where do these people come from? Its clear that these people are paid and sent to the spot for creating a mess and make it much more difficult for the ruling party and the police to take care of things. When a bomb explodes, the first thing a top cop does is to ensure that help is provided on spot and search teams are dispatched to search un-exploded bombs in possible places. People should understand this and stay calm. If they can do something, they can help the cops or the help the injured ones. I say anyone throwing stones on public property does not deserve to be Indian Citizens. These people should either be in a jail or thrown out of a country.
If you see the initial news you will clearly understand that there is no procedure in collecting clues or investigating on the crime scene. The police act like they don’t even know what a crime scene means. After the blasts hundreds of people, media persons(absolutely crazy to get news), the police, task force, politicians(what are they going to do seeing the crime scene, scent it and tell who did it?)….. everyone want to see it and goes and stamps everything they can, climb the chairs in the lumbini park to get a better view of the dead bodies there,… are these people the investigators? And then it rains trice. Does no one has the sense to protect the crime scene from getting washed away? nothing, they will do just nothing to help the investigation. These people should know that investigating begins at the crime scene and a protected crime scene can sometimes reveal clues even days later. I don’t understand how they can just pickup things from a crime scene with bare hands.
The bomb squad later recovered more than a dozen bombs at various crowded places. Some failed ones and some stopped before their detonation times reached. All these were time bombs and high explosive material was used with atleast a kilogram of ball bearings in each. According the bomb disposal team, the intension was not just to create panic but to create maximum deaths. There are several questions unanswered and may be will never be answered unless the criminals confess themselves. First of all, Why India? If India, why Hyderabad? Ok, hyderabad is one of those cities where clashes between hindus and muslims can be created, if that’s the intension, then why in a public place where there are both muslims, hindus and most of all where there are kids? Why target the common man who is enjoying a weekend in a park or an eatout with his family? According to the bomb disposal squad, the bombs means to create maximum death toll. Then why were these bombs timed for different timings? if maximum damage and maximum death toll was their intension, all bombs exploding at the same time would have created unimaginable death toll which could surely be one of the worst terror attacks ever.

I’m at work right now and its 4:00PM and we just did a silent prayer for 2 minutes. I wished the same never happens to anyone else and the people who did this be caught, tortured and hanged, so that they will cry for their life in pain. I also wished, next time someone prepares these bombs should die while preparing the bomb, should be ripped into pieces. For those who have lost their near and dear ones, our prayers are with you.

Friendz !!!
This is the time where we need to keep our fingers crossed and pray for the families who have lost their near and dear ones…
People are enjoying their weekends by having some delicious food at Gokul Chat and some were enjoying the laser shows at Lumbini Park unaware of what fate had stored in them..
Sudden blasts and no one knows what had happened really…But within few seconds 42 people dead …Unbelievable !!!!!
Lets pray to the people who have suffered for these blasts.
It would be great if the gov can catch those convicts soon and hang them infront of everyone…so that no one again dare to do those stupid things…
